
Mohammed Al Qaraghuli
Founder & Director
Mohammed Al Qaraghuli is a pharmacist, antibody engineer, and biotech entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in antibody engineering, translational research, pharmaceutical innovation, and industry–academic collaboration. He holds an M.Sc. in Drug Development with Bio-Business with Distinction, a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences focused on antibody engineering from the University of Aberdeen, and an Executive MBA.
As Founder and Director of SiMologics Ltd, Mohammed leads the company's scientific and commercial strategy, drawing on his expertise in antibody engineering, bioconjugation, and translational pharmaceutical innovation.
His entrepreneurial work has been recognised through several innovation programmes, grants, and competitions, including Scottish EDGE, Strathclyde Inspire, Glasgow City Council prototyping funding, MSDUK Innovation Challenge, Falling Walls Lab Scotland, BioVale-BioBase4SME, Converge Challenge, and the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. He has secured multiple grants and awards and authored more than 30 scientific publications.
In parallel with SiMologics, Mohammed has led major industry–academic programmes in digital medicines manufacturing and digital health and care innovation at the University of Strathclyde. His work focuses on strengthening project delivery, stakeholder engagement, governance, and the translation of research and innovation into real-world healthcare and pharmaceutical impact.
